WELCOME TO

Gary Quantum Workforce Center

Powering the Future of Quantum, AI & High-Performance Computing in Northwest Indiana

Our Mission

This center is designed to not only meet the massive power demands of next-generation computing infrastructure but also to address the critical needs for sustainability and skilled labor in the evolving quantum and HPC landscape.

Our Vision

Initiative in Northwest Indiana focused on building a skilled quantum workforce and establishing a robust technical ecosystem.

Goals

Powering the Future, Locally: Gary Quantum Workforce Center provides sustainable energy, water, materials, and talent for Quantum & HPC, driving innovation, creating jobs, and building a resilient tech economy in Indiana.

About Us

This project features four core, interconnected components: a Data Center designed to handle High Performance Computing (HPC), AI, and Cloud Workloads with an operational goal of 50MW; an innovative E-Waste Recycling facility that creates a domestic supply chain for salvaged electronics; a large-scale Hydrogen Power Generation System aiming to produce 50MW to power the entire operation and support EV charging; and an Ultra Pure Water Production system to supply essential resources to tech companies, hospitals, and clean rooms.

Workforce Development

We are committed to building a skilled, local workforce through:

• High-Skill Job Creation: Attracts roles in quantum engineering, AI, cybersecurity, and advanced computing, requiring specialized skills.

• Training & Education: Creates demand for partnerships with universities like Purdue University Northwest for talent pipelines, scholarships, and specialized certifications.

• Local Hiring Initiatives: Guarantees local residents get priority for construction, operations, and tech roles, possibly via CBAs with community groups.

• Tech Ecosystem Growth: Draws ancillary tech companies (fiber optics, defense, pharma), creating a broader job market.

Community Development

The center is designed to deliver long-term benefits to the region:

Economic Boost: Generates significant tax revenue for schools, infrastructure, and public services, funded by the center’s high value.

Infrastructure Investment: Drives development of robust fiber networks (like Quantum Corridor in NWI) and stable power grids, benefiting all residents
